We love vinyasa yoga. If you’ve never been to one of the open vinyasa yoga classes here at The Open Mind Space, you’re in for a treat!
Being characterised as moving with the breath, our Open vinyasa classes are
designed as all-levels yoga classes that allow you to connect your body, mind and soul in an environment that is safe and with teachers who are creative and passionate about your
wellbeing.
Yoga is not just about the physical aspects of our practice and our Open classes incorporate
working with the breath (pranayama) and meditation, as well as moving our bodies in a way
that will allow us to eventually become comfortably still and calm so that we can connect to
our deepest truth.
How an Open Class works
An open yoga class will generally begin with taking a few moments to arrive on your mat (or
use one of ours), we’ll connect with our breath and then we’ll start to warm up the body.
From here, your experienced and qualified yoga teacher will begin to add asana (yoga
poses) that flow effortlessly together and that are connected with your breath.
We believe that it is important for you to feel ownership over your yoga practice, so as much as you are guided through your yoga practice, you are always free to move at your own pace.
Some of the yoga classes here at The Open Mind Space are heated. (you can see the heated yoga classes on our timetable). Our state-of-the-art Infrared heaters allow the air to stay cool and dry, while the emitted heat is absorbed deeply into your body and has therapeutic benefits such as detoxifying the body, strengthening the immune system and helping to eliminate a build-up of toxins.
