How do you know where to start with your yoga practice? Basics yoga classes are the best place to be.
It’s completely normal to feel unsure of where to start when you’re deciding to begin a yoga
practice here in Newcastle.
With so much yoga on offer, we know that getting started could feel overwhelming and intimidating. Our Basics class is designed to ensure that you have the time and space to learn the foundations of yoga in a safe and welcoming environment.
Perfect If You Are a Beginner
Our intention here at The Open Mind Space is to offer classes for all levels. This means that
even if you’re a beginner or a more experienced yoga student the Basics class is suitable for you. With a focus on alignment and transitions, as well as introducing you to breathing
techniques (pranayama), meditation and mindfulness, the Basics yoga class is a great way
to slow down, refine your existing practice, move more mindfully or just to learn what all the
fuss is about.
With our teachers having various backgrounds and experience in meditation, mindfulness,
anatomy and more you will always be well looked after in our yoga classes. A Basics yoga
class will differ slightly depending on the teacher and their background. In general, you will
be introduced to pranayama (breath work), meditation, and the physical yoga poses, known
as asana. Our experienced teachers will guide you through a yoga practice that allows you
the time to listen, learn, ask questions and become familiar with the basics of yoga so that
you can easily transition into our other all levels classes, whenever you are ready.
If you’ve been searching for a deeper experience and would like to incorporate a well-
rounded yoga practice that includes meditation and conscious breathing into your life and
haven’t known where to start, the Basics yoga classes here at The Open Mind Space in
Broadmeadow is the best place to be and we look forward to meeting you.
